Dune: Awakening has 65 official PC Worlds as of 8 October 2026, after Funcom closed 162 low-population Worlds on 26 May. Pick the region closest to you, then the World your friends are on. Nothing else about the choice matters as much as those two things. List checked against DuneStatus and Funcom's posts, 8 October.

Console players have their own Worlds, listed separately below, and there's no cross-play yet. If you're on PC, this is the full list.

World, Sietch, server: which one matters

"Which server are you on" means which World. That's the thing you choose, and the only name that matters when you're arranging to meet someone.

World versus Sietch

What it is:
World, The thing you pick.
Sietch, One server inside a World
Shared with:
World, Everyone on the World.
Sietch, Only players on that Sietch
Hagga Basin:
World, One per Sietch, and you can visit friends'.
Sietch, Where you build
Deep Desert and hubs:
World, Shared across the World.
Sietch, Shared across the World
Exchange and Landsraad:
World, Per World.
Sietch, Per World
Tell your friends:
World, This name.
Sietch, Doesn't matter

Pick your region for latency, then any World inside it. The US sub-regions name the data centre's region, so a US Central World is the fair choice for a mixed East and West group.

Can you change World later?

Yes, with limits. Funcom added character transfers in January 2026, and the 1.5 notes say official characters can play on any official World. Back up your base first and it travels with you, vehicles included. If your old World closed in May, the returning player guide covers what happened to your character and base. A transfer spends your Transfer Token, which comes back seven days later, and it's final.

  • Official to official: allowed, one token per move. Moving Sietch within a World is free.
  • Official to private or self-hosted: allowed, but not back.
  • Single-player: stays in single-player. No transfers in or out.

Worth knowing

Why Sietches don't matter for trading

The Exchange and the hubs are shared across a World, so a buyer on one Sietch and a seller on another meet at the same terminal. Only your base is tied to a Sietch, and you can still visit friends' Basins on the same World.

Separate Worlds, no cross-play

We don't cover these, but your friends on console will ask. As published by Funcom on 14 September for the console launch; the launch list was trimmed once already, so check in-game before you commit.

Buying Solari? We need the World, not the Sietch

We deliver Solari on every PC World by in-game trade. Because the hubs and the Exchange are shared across a World, the World name is all we need at checkout. Console Worlds aren't covered.

Starting fresh on a new World? The beginner guide covers what 1.5 changed, and the levelling guide covers the route to 200.

Quick answers
