Patch 1.5.15.0 is on Dune: Awakening's Public Test Client, not the live servers, and Funcom hasn't given it a date. It's a big one: about 120 fixes plus guild renaming, native DualSense support on Steam and a long list of building and story fixes.

What did reach everyone is hotfix 1.5.3.6 on 6 October, which lets Steam players run single-player without BattlEye, followed by a small Arrakeen fix in 1.5.3.7 on 9 October. 1.5.15 and 1.5.3.6 are covered below, plus every 1.5 hotfix so far. From Funcom's patch notes, checked 13 October.

Live since 6 October: hotfix 1.5.3.6

  • Play without BattlEye on Steam: single-player and private or self-hosted servers that don't require it can now launch without the anti-cheat. Multiplayer servers that use BattlEye still need it.
  • A second try: the same option shipped in 1.5.3.1 on 19 September and was pulled shortly after, when it caused BattlEye errors. It went back to the test server before returning.
  • Fixes: server and client stability, autosave recovery, and single-player ornithopters that spawned in mid-air after Overland travel.

How to try 1.5.15 early

  1. Own Dune: Awakening on Steam.
  2. Search your Steam Library for "Dune: Awakening Public Test Client" and install it.
  3. Play on a test server in North America or Europe. Funcom runs a separate test Discord for feedback.

Test progress stays on the test servers across builds. Funcom has never said it carries over to your live character, so treat it as a sandbox.
