WARDOGS Season 3 is currently targeted for Thursday 12 November 2026 with a fresh economy reset, PCGamesN reported on 25 October from BULKHEAD's new developer podcast. The studio hasn't posted the date itself or a start time.
That puts Season 2 at under a month, so anything you grind now has a short shelf life. BULKHEAD's own 17 October post admits the Season 2 wipe "never really landed". Checked against BULKHEAD's posts on X (15 and 17 October), the Season 02 patch notes and PCGamesN's coverage of The Hotzone.
Why Season 3 is coming so soon
Season 2 went live on 15 October with update 0.2.0. Within two days BULKHEAD posted on X that it had sped up progression on purpose and that "it was the wrong call", with some players reaching Tier 4 armour and main battle tanks within days.
- No mid-season reset: BULKHEAD ruled out a "knee jerk reset" of Season 2, saying it would be unfair on players already enjoying the climb.
- Season 3 brought forward: instead, the team said it was looking at "significantly bringing forward Season 3 and some of its content", so players get a proper fresh start.
- The date: PCGamesN reports the team is "currently targeting Thursday November 12", from a developer podcast with Joe Brammer and lead game designer Pete Harries. That matches the first episode of BULKHEAD's The Hotzone, posted 24 October.
What resets in Season 3, and what probably doesn't
BULKHEAD hasn't published a Season 3 changelog, so the detail is thin. PCGamesN writes that Season 3 "will come with a fresh economy reset", in its own words rather than a developer quote. Beyond that, the list below is our reading of what the studio has said before.
- Cash: expect it gone. An economy reset is a cash reset, and PCGamesN describes Season 2's wipe the same way.
- Unlocks and levels: our expectation is that they reset too, though BULKHEAD hasn't said so. The whole complaint about Season 2 was players re-unlocking end-game gear too fast, and Season 3 exists to give a "proper fresh start".
- Gold Market unlocks: our Season 2 coverage found BULKHEAD saying these persist across seasons. Nothing announced so far says Season 3 changes that.
- Cosmetics: not addressed for Season 3 in anything we've read. Wait for the patch notes.
If you're sitting on a pile of Season 2 cash, spending it on the unlocks you enjoy now beats banking it for a season that wipes it.
The fixes Season 2 already got
BULKHEAD changed a lot inside the first week. These are the changes from its own posts and the patch notes, plus the video explanation PCGamesN covered.
- Blue Team bonus removed: Season 2 gave Lonestar 5% extra cash and 2.5% extra XP. BULKHEAD pulled it in a backend update on 15 October; PCGamesN reports Brammer said it favoured the most dedicated grinders.
- Driver exploit fixed: a Driver XP trick using a nearby FOB let players reach tanks too early. BULKHEAD fixed it, and CEO Joe Brammer said players who used it got 24-hour bans (per PCGamesN).
- Ping limits: official servers now enforce region-based maximum ping and kick players who stay above it. PlayGround.ru reports the current cap at 175 ms.
- Limited servers announced: BULKHEAD's 15 October post promised "Limited Mode Servers" with no power weapons or vehicles.
Limited servers and a slower season plan
The biggest change coming with Season 3 isn't a map or a gun. PCGamesN reports it will add limited or "primitive" servers that strip out power weapons and vehicles, so you can stay in the low-to-mid game if the late game isn't for you.
- What gets capped: in an earlier video covered by PCGamesN, Brammer said level-four armour, power weapons, tanks and artillery would be removed from those servers, keeping play around level-two armour.
- Season cadence: per PCGamesN, Brammer said BULKHEAD "can't do monthly seasons", and that three-month seasons with a smaller update halfway through are the current plan.
- Progression shape: PCGamesN reports the studio wants to move away from Season 1's "heavy vertical progression", where the best gear sat at the end of the tree.
How to get ready for 12 November
- Spend Season 2 cash now. If the economy resets, unspent cash is worth nothing on 12 November.
- Don't chase late unlocks you won't use. A tank you reach on 10 November is gone two days later.
- Plan your Season 3 opener. Agree with your squad which classes to level first, so nobody doubles up early.
- Watch for the patch notes. BULKHEAD hasn't posted a time or a changelog yet. Season 2 went live after a maintenance window of 08:00 to 09:30 UTC, which was 7pm to 8:30pm AEDT.
Our Season 2 levelling guide covers the fastest XP routes per class, and most of it carries straight into a fresh season. For what changed in Season 2 itself, see our Season 2 patch notes breakdown.
Climb Season 3 faster
Once Season 3 is live, our Private XP/Cash Farming Server is a quick way to rebuild. Book it for after the reset, not before. You Team up on our private server, playing your own account on the class you choose with our operator guiding the session, and everything you earn stays yours.
