When Mistfall Hunter's Season 1 ends, your Gyldenblod, Inventory, Warehouse items, Combat Bags and Soulcatch Nets all convert into Contribution, which then becomes Gyldenblod Leaves for the new Fateweaver Shop. Your characters, levels, talents, cosmetics, Fate Coins and Soul Coins carry over untouched.

This is a partial wipe, not a fresh account. Six camp buildings have their levels reset, Path of Glory ranks get compressed, and big Contribution totals convert at worse rates. Checked against Bellring's DevNote #10 (21 Oct), its four rules tables and the 15 and 21 October live updates.

What converts and what carries over

Here's the split from Bellring's tables, which are also on the in-game season page since 22 October.

Converts or resets versus Carries over

Currency:
Converts or resets, Gyldenblod, Echoes of Fate, all three Soul Cocoons.
Carries over, Fate Coins, Soul Coins, Moonlight Nectar, Star Silver, Starsilver Spindles
Gear and loot:
Converts or resets, Everything in your Inventory and Warehouse, Combat Bags, Soulcatch Nets.
Carries over, Collection Pedestal, including placed collectibles and upgrade progress
Camp:
Converts or resets, Goddess Statue, Gylden Pool, Tavern, Workshop, Scavenger Squad, Soulcatch Tree.
Carries over, Warehouse, Shop, Auction House, Landscape, Watchtower level
Character:
Converts or resets, Path of Glory rank (compressed).
Carries over, Characters, appearance, level, skills, talent points, outfits
Progress:
Converts or resets, Pip's Pouch and Keychain activation timers.
Carries over, Story tasks, Contract reward unlocks, Pip's Gift progress

If you read the August plan, ignore it on levels: DevNote #8 said character levels would reset, but DevNote #10 lists level, skills and talent points as retained. Your hunters keep their builds.

Contract Sigils convert one for one into Faded Contract Sigils (Bellring's table calls them Worn). The Slumbering Contract stays open while it has unclaimed rewards, so you can keep spending Sigils on it in Season 2.

How the Contribution conversion works

It happens in two steps. Your stockpile turns into Contribution at fixed ratios, then your Contribution total turns into Gyldenblod Leaves, the Fateweaver Shop token, at a rate that gets worse as the total climbs.

Bellring's conversion table: what's retained and what becomes Contribution. Image: Bellring. · Open full size
  • Gyldenblod and Echoes of Fate: 1 Contribution per unit.
  • Soul Cocoons: Glimmer at 1:5, Brightsilver at 1:10, Aureate at 1:20.
  • Inventory and Warehouse items, Soulcatch Nets: 1:1 against the Auction House recommended value.
  • Combat Bags: 1:1 against their dismantling value.
  • Camp buildings: Contribution based on the level each building has reached.

The second step is the catch-up mechanic: a small stockpile pays 25 points per Leaf, a stockpile over 4 million pays 300.

Contribution totalPoints per Gyldenblod Leaf
Under 100,00025
100,000 to 499,99950
500,000 to 999,99975
1,000,000 to 1,999,999150
2,000,000 to 3,999,999200
4,000,000 and up300

Bellring doesn't say whether a bracket's rate applies to your whole total or only the slice inside it, only that more Contribution always means more Leaves. Until it does, treat any online Leaf calculator with suspicion.

What the Fateweaver Shop sells

Leaves become spendable once Season 2 goes live. Bellring named the headline stock:

Pip's Rare Pouches

The pouch that normally takes 50 core Season Tasks to unlock in Season 1.

Unbound Holy Collectibles

A Selection Chest, so you pick the collectible.

Holy Soulcatch Nets and Combat Bags

Extraction supplies to start Season 2 runs well stocked.

Season 1 only

Commemorative cosmetics

The Mistchaser's Messenger Bug Jar Gyldjar and the Proof of the Soul Hunt medal.

How to prepare before the reset

Every step follows from the published rules, and none needs a Season 2 date.

  1. Don't dump gear below Auction House value. Items already count at their recommended value and Gyldenblod counts 1:1, so a fire sale under that value throws Contribution away.
  2. Don't overpay late in the season either. Buying gear above its recommended value swaps Gyldenblod for fewer Contribution points.
  3. Leave retained currencies alone. Fate Coins, Soul Coins, Moonlight Nectar, Star Silver and Starsilver Spindles survive, so there's no reason to panic-spend them.
  4. Finish upgrades you have rare materials for. Stardust Blooms, Faded Divine Tree Hearts, Messenger Bug Jars and Celestigold you've already spent on a building won't be charged again when you rebuild it.
  5. Use your Pip's Rare Pouch Vouchers. Unused vouchers in your Warehouse reset too, including any from the season's login event.
  6. Check your Path of Glory bracket. One tier can change where you start (see below).
  7. Play Blood and Fire. It pays Moonlight Nectar and a cosmetic earring, both of which carry over.

Path of Glory: where you'll start Season 2

Duskborn and Mistwalker ranks carry over exactly. From Dawnseeker II upwards, ranks get squeezed down, and Zenith players restart at Oracle I.

Season 1 rank on the left, Season 2 starting rank on the right. Image: Bellring. · Open full size
  • Dawnseeker II and III: start at Dawnseeker I.
  • Fateweaver I to III: start at Dawnseeker II.
  • Oracle I and II: start at Dawnseeker III.
  • Oracle III and IV: start at Fateweaver I.
  • Exalted I and II: Fateweaver II. Exalted III and IV: Fateweaver III.
  • Zenith: Oracle I.

The boundaries are where pushing pays off. An Oracle II player who climbs one tier to Oracle III starts Season 2 a full rank higher, in Fateweaver rather than Dawnseeker.

Events running until Season 1 ends

All four run until Season 1 closes, so collect before the reset.

Weekend Surprise bags still count if you don't use them: they convert at dismantling value. For the Free Drinks launch and the last balance patch, read our October 15 update breakdown.

When does Season 2 start?

Not announced. As of 26 October Bellring has given no end date for Season 1 or start date for Season 2; DevNote #10 says only that Season 1 "draws to a close".

The Soulcatch Tree returns in a new form with brand-new upgrade materials; Soulcatch Nets work as before. For Season 1's headline mode, see our Soul Harvest event guide.
